Screening Tool for Industrial Symbiosis Readiness

Thank you very much for your interest in the Screening tool that has been elaborated in the Interreg BSR project GreenIndustrialAreas. While this browser-based version of the tool offers a first glimpse of the tool and the production of a chart-driven report, for further investigation of potentials for industrial symbiosis we recommend the installation of the full kit, ideally through an intermediary that follows up on the results.

Use of the Screening tool requires no more than 10 minutes if all information is already at hand. For a more thorough analysis, we suggest setting aside at least 60 minutes. In the process, users are asked to answer a few general propositions on how the entity is prepared for industrial symbiosis. This is followed by questions about the resources used and their importance. Two sets of questions need to be answered through preselected options to rate opportunities for industrial symbiosis and general readiness.

This site is established to demonstrate the use of the Screening tool. As the tool is run in your browser, no data is collected or saved. At the end of the process, you have the possibility to create a PDF report based on the information you entered. If you select to receive follow-up support from one of the members of the project consortium, an email link will appear at the end of the process to send the PDF report through your email client.
